We welcome your hands-on interest in the ’Sconset Trust. Volunteers support our activities, events, and educational programs, and there are numerous ways to volunteer:
Stewardship
With almost 130 acres over 16 parcels of land under our care, there is no end to the list of tasks that need attention. We organize efforts to maintain trails, help with trash pickup, install seasonal “no hunting” signs, and maintain signage and posts. On occasion, we will request volunteers to assist with special activities related to our easement properties. Learn more about becoming a volunteer land steward. Contact us for more information.
Educational Programs
The ’Sconset Trust holds a variety of programs, included guided walks. If you have ideas or areas of expertise you would be willing to share, please contact us.

Events
We are dependent on volunteer help at our Lighthouse Open Days, the Fourth of July Family Fun Games, our Annual Meeting, our Night Under the Light Gala, and the Jog in the Fog. From name tags to watermelon rolls to lighthouse climbs, we need you. If interested in assisting with Trust events, please email info@sconsettrust.org.
Publications
We have numerous mailings during the year and can always use help with compiling these. Conversation and refreshments provided! Please email info@sconsettrust.org to get involved.
Board of Directors
Every July, a few existing Directors conclude their terms, and the membership elects new members to the Board of Directors. Directors serve three year terms and may serve up to six years. If you would be interested in serving on the Board or know somebody you would like to nominate, let us know.
Committees
Our three program committees are: Land Committee, Preservation Committee and the Lighthouse Committee. Other committees include Young Associates, Finance, Development and special campaign and event committees. Please contact the Trust office if you are interested in serving on a committee.
If you are interested in volunteering please e-mail us at info@sconsettrust.org with your contact information and area of interest.
